Our natural mulberry silk offers targeted benefits for a wide range of skin and hair concerns.
Its exceptionally smooth, low-friction surface helps minimise irritation, making it ideal for acne-prone skin, eczema, and dryness, where friction and bacteria often worsen symptoms. By reducing tugging and compression on the skin, silk also helps limit fine lines and sleep-induced wrinkles. Its additional antibacterial and hypoallergenic properties help people with sensitive skin.
Our silk minimises moisture loss by absorbing significantly less water than cotton. This helps maintain optimal hydration levels in both the skin and hair. Reduced moisture displacement limits cuticle disruption—lowering breakage, frizz, and structural damage in delicate strands, extensions, and chemically treated hair—while simultaneously supporting epidermal barrier repair, improving skin hydration, and preventing overnight dryness.
Its thermoregulating nature supports deeper, more consistent sleep by maintaining a stable temperature—especially helpful for those who overheat or experience disrupted sleep.
Our highest quality 100% Grade 6A Mulberry Silk creates a clean, hypoallergenic, and moisture, preserving a sleep environment that supports clearer skin, smoother hair, ensures you benefit from more restorative night’s rest.
Cotton is often marketed as “natural,” but its production and properties make it one of the harshest fabrics for sensitive skin. Grown in over 100 countries—mainly hot, water-stressed regions like China—cotton relies on heavy irrigation systems to survive. Yet up to 60% of this water never reaches the plant, evaporating before it can be used. To supply the industry, dams divert rivers and reduce downstream water flow, concentrating pollutants and affecting the quality of water that ultimately reaches communities and, indirectly, your skin.
Cotton farming also depends on intensive fertilisers and pesticides. These chemicals—often sprayed by airplane—drift into surrounding soil and water systems, allowing nitrates and toxins to enter groundwater. Over time, this increases human exposure to irritants that can aggravate skin sensitivities, dryness, and inflammatory conditions.
The problems continue during production: most cotton fabrics are dyed with harsh, non-biodegradable dyes that contaminate waterways. Traces of these dyes can remain in the final fabric, causing friction, irritation, and imbalance to the skin’s natural microbiome—especially for people prone to acne, eczema, or dermatitis.
So while cotton feels soft, its environmental footprint and chemical-heavy processing make it far from ideal for skincare. It’s absorbent, irritating, and often carries residues that disrupt your skin barrier rather than protect it.
